One way to overcome this is to replace the contents of the motd with an
address:

Which will make the game load that web page as the motd, which can be any
size from experience.

Does anyone know why they limit the size of the server welcome page
(motd.txt) to 1.5K? This really puts a creative damper on the whole
greeting.
