        We're talking about servers here, bub, this being the windows server
list.  You don't expect a PPro 200 to handle CS:S, do you?
I don't even *need* a video card to get max FPS -- I can run this all off a
Gentoo linux box with a VT100 on a serial port.  So long as the CPU has the
MIPS and my net has the pipe I'm good, video doesn't come into play on the
server end.  Boy howdy does it affect clients.

        Granted, to get the best video on a client that's going to take some
hardware, but inosfar as providing our players a good game experience
servers are quite different from clients.

        Which seems to me that we ought to open up discussions on server
CPU, memory, and pipe rather than point at video cards or client CPU for a
bad game, but that's a different thread.
