If the bug has too large an impact then you should stop using the beta for now. I am going to be out of the office until late February and the beta won't be able to be updated until after that.
The Beta has been extremely useful to me in debugging some long standing problems we have had under certain linux installations, I really want to thank everyone that helped us track those down. I expect to continue using this Beta format for dedicated server engine style updates in the future.
