Do the servers ever work? Or is this a progressive problem. And if you move
the files to your install and do listen server, they are using the same
file.

Valve does some kind of file checking, but I don't believe it's a hash, as
for CAL CS1.6 the servers use specially updated maps. They are server side
only though.

When I say MD5sum, I am saying go search on Google and download a tool
called md5sum.exe (your linux box will have the command already). Get the
md5sum of a .bsp like de_dust.bsp and then post it here

We'll compare it to see if the file is "bad", if the file is bad then you
are likely either having a storage system problem, a memory problem, OR a
router is causing you to download the files corrupted.

ERROR.

No the Files are not Bad. I can take a "Changed File" say de_dust (yes it
happens on stock maps) And make a listen server on my PC and play bots no
problem. What I am assuming is happen is the md5 hash(I hope I am calling
it the right thing or it is also know as the check sum) number is changing
(I know this ia happening) And I am assuming the the client checks the
servers map to see if the have the same md5 hash number and if the don't
then the files are differnet.

Aslo Yes I do run auto update on the linux box but I have both a linux and
windows box that are haveing these issues. When i do a man update
with -Verify_all then it does download new maps but they change with in
hours.

Can anyone tell me how the Server checks if the Files are the same??? They
just check the md5 hash?
