I don't have the time to test it now, but has anybody ever
launched hlds with a redirect to a file? Maybe that would get the
console messages? Hmmm....
srcds.exe -game cstrike -maxplayers 12 _map de_train -console > testing.log
On my LAN box there's no output and nothing in the console after Mani
loads. It might be worth playing with, but I'm not optimistic.
