How were they able to associate your posting here with your steam account,
or otherwise identify your steam account as being associated with you? I
have 3 steam accounts, one dates back to the first beta release. And no one
here, including Valve, has any way of finding out what those are unless I
post my steam IDs - something I've never done. And even if I did, they could
not use my posts here as a reason to disable my steam accounts because there
is no way to prove that those really are my accounts.

So how did they figure out what your steam account was?

Careful of what you ask about. I've been here for years and when I lit up
Valve about their shitty QA development they "suspended" my account.
Welcome
to the world of greedy bastards that appearently think that even though
you've supported them for 5 years and been a part of this community for
such
a long time, as well as bought all their products....one false move and
your
account is suspended. They locked up STEAM_0:1:1111 with not so much as a
"fuck you" email. Now I'm willing to PAY to get Alfred's home address.

they have on Linux, but they do not at this time support VAC2. (I know
you were wondering about Windows)
