Hello everyone, I am the newest member to join this list. I am

ask some really basic and stupid questions at the beginning.
I would like to try a deticated server at a LAN party so i can do a
few
downloads while the server is in progress.
I have tried to find some kind of help sites in this, but nothing
seemed
to
tell me the most basic of all- How do I start, run, and maintain a
server
like this?
if anyone knows a good site on this, or has any advice, it would be
deeply
apreciated.
