As a matter of fact, precisely because I don't trust Valve or Steam, I don't setup extraordinary configurations or modifications. The closer to stock, the less those people can hide behind "it's something you did to your system". The problem happened to many people, simultaneously, immediately after the last update. I didn't say it's happening to everyone. Just because you don't have bird flu doesn't mean bird flu isn't real. This isn't the first time they've pumped out flawed code, and it won't be the last.
