What ports do you have forwarded? What router are you using? Did you shut off the firewall in your router? What ISP are you using? What is your ip address? Do you have a static or dynamic IP (not important - I've run for years using dynamic IP).
I spent quite a bit of time in low end cheap router hell and trying to get my server on the list, and I found several things that will do it: You don't have the proper port(s) forwarded. You forgot to turn off the firewall in your router, or did not configure it correctly. You are using one of several routers known to cause problems. I had a Belkin router about 3 years ago. I never got the damn thing to work.. You forwarded the port, but the IP of the box you are running the server on had a different IP address (port not properly forwarded). You need to run hldsupdatetool to update your server. This one bit me hard a few years ago, I felt quite stupid once I figured it out. You are using a wireless connection, or more specifically your server connects to a wireless router that connects wirelessly to another router (did that make sense? You can chain the WRT54G wirelessly if you use alchemy or talisman or equivalent firmware, but some things just don't work). When im looking at it in my favorites the latency is increadibly low, so i suspect it isnt fully connected. I made sure that when i turn on the server i used internet for the type of connection, and that my ports on my router were set up correctly.
