I've seen the same things in my logs. Looking at the hlstatsx perl module
(the one that takes server log data directly from server via udp and stores
it in the mysql table), I can see where it parses the data, and it expects
the "with "weapon"... to be part of the line. I think this is the point
where we stop and ask Valve what is up with this.

Valve? Comments?

Ooks, it looks like the log files don't have weapon information in them, I
just checked both server and client and the logs only say that someone
killed someone not what they were killed with (it does log suicides though
... but it says "with player" ... odd!).

L 08/30/2006 - 21:16:49: "ar-bat<5><STEAM_0:1:11599951><>" killed "*******
halo of flies *******<2><STEAM_0:0:11722858><>"
L 08/30/2006 - 21:19:12: "******* halo of flies
*******<2><STEAM_0:0:11722858><>" killed
"linden.hair<4><STEAM_0:0:12121960><>"
L 08/30/2006 - 21:25:02: "mayesip<6><STEAM_0:0:12175617><>" committed
suicide with "player"

This will make it a bit hard for stats programs I think.

SRCDS.EXE. game hl1mp. Dedicated server for Half-Life Death Match Source

If you are running the HL1 engine then you don't want HLStatsX you want
HLStats (no X).

I've been trying hlstatsx, but have run into some techincal issues.
The only
answer I've gotten so far is to use the paid premium service. So, I'm
thinking I'm going to scrap hlstatsx. Any recommendations for any other
stats package for HL1DM Source?
