Sorry, seems like a bunch of computer savy people with a lot of time on
their hands to me, lol.

Turns out my ac converter to my power supply was fried and my soundcard
drivers must have been gliched out at the same time too.

Have any of you guys had problems with this map on your servers or does
anyone still play regular dod anymore? The map seems really cool and the
sound was great while it lasted. I was running off of a generator due to
power outage so maybe that was part of the problem.

Oh and by the way it's not a dell...I built it myself so the only person I
can call for support is me...or some other kind person or persons I
guess......so not to be cruel but I hope you get sick and puke from "vette
fever",

lol, just kidding...take it easy buddy.

Be well all

Not to be cruel but this is a server op's list and not a Dell support line.
Please call your support line to resolve this issue.

Subject: [hlds] no sound in dod after playing map dod_dog1

I lost sound after playing map dod_dog1 for the first time. I was
playing
steam in offline mode with sturmbot. I have no sound on my computer
at all
    now not just in dod.

I restarted game still no sound.
    Restarted steam still no sound.
    Restarted comp still no sound.
Used mru blaster to clean out cookies etc. (not sure why this would
help
    but what the heck.)
Turned off comp and left it off for a bit.
I hooked up headphones to make sure my speakers hadn't flaked out but
still
    no sound.
I tried the microsoft website and found this:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893681/en-us

which walked me through the problem step by step but then at the end
there's
a long list which is the (then a miracle happens part) I don't know
which of
    these _+$*&@%)@% things isn't working...If I knew that why would I
need the
[EMAIL PROTECTED]@+_% microsoft website to start with?

I've lost sound upon occasion while playing on line in the past but
but
restarting the game always fixed it. Any ideas?
