Hi there, Replying to myself, I found srcds.exe command line options on the developer wiki (at http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Command_Line_Options#Command-lin e_parameters_3) with supplied me with better information.
I wasn't aware of the -console option (more used to running servers on Linux). But using the UI, instead of supplying command line options, certainly causes confusion!
