OH, never mind. I was being stupid. Running hldsupdatetool will update some
of the content, and that prevents the hl1mp server from running. I had to
copy the stuff from the GCFs again to revert the updates, and now we are
running again. One of these days I'll write a comprehensive How-To (and
follow my own instructions LOL). Or better yet, maybe Valve will actually
release the hl1mp dedicated source server so we don't have to hack it to get
it to run?

Any comments from Valve on when this will happen?

Subject: [hlds] Latest update broke SRCDS-HL1MP?

I just ran hldsupdatetool, and now my srcds/hl1mp server will not start.
Anyone else running a dedicated hl1mp source server, and have you ran
hldsupdatetool lately? I'm dead in the water until I figure out what
changed.

The specific error is: Engine Error, NUM_FOR_EDICT: bad pointer
