-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] "not all that important to have" is not the same as "You don't need it", which was your position earlier.
I've already given a situation where Mint Clan needed it, and as I said before it's better to give an admin a feature they can make use of as they want and let the player choose to play on servers where the features are used in a way they like than take the feature out because you're not happy with the way people want to use it on their servers. If you can show me a SIMPLE way to redirect players to a Linux server running a mod when the latest steam update has broken the mod providing the central game play offered by the windows server, then I'll start to believe it isn't all that important, otherwise, given that the last update broke ZombieMod on Windows, it's definitely on my list of needed features. > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected]> Subject: Re: [hlds] > Valve...can we get the connect command for redirect in SCRDS?> Date: Mon, 18 > Dec 2006 19:11:09 +0100> > --> [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative > ]> I do give a crap about admin problems and alike, if I didn't I wouldn't > have> been 1 of the co-authors of zBlock, among a crapload of other stuff. > IMO;> it's important to not have the feature from a player's point of view, > and> it's not all that important to have the feature from a server admin > point of> view.> > On 12/18/06, Newbie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:> >> > --> > > [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]> > The guy speaks from the > player's POV and simply doesn't give a thing about> > admins' problems like > servers migration or load balancing.> >> > Newbie> >> > -----Original > Message-----> >> > From: "Roman Hatsiev" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> >> > To: > [email protected]> >> > Date: Mon, 18 Dec 2006 14:42:43 +0300> >> > > Subject: Re: [hlds] Valve...can we get the connect command for redirect in> > > SCRDS?> >> >> >> >> > Now I see.
