I've used Netgear and Linksys routers to run a server from home for years.
Although this offends some of the purists with datacenter connections or
rented servers, it meets my needs and I have a small loyal following of
happy players. Point is, I and many others have ran servers from home with
LInksys or Netgear routers for years. It works fine if you set it up
correctly.

Having said that - what ports are you forwarding to your server from the
router? And are you sure your server is not staying on the list? What is
your server name and ip? What mod are you running? Start the server, let it
run until it drops off of the list, and then keep it running and let some of
us probe for it.

The problem im having is my server runs with "my ip:60006" and changes.I
have tried everything I can find on the subject with mixed results, all
bad.
Router is a d-link di624. I bought two others, A Linksys, and a Netgear.
These both ran with "my ip:27015", but stayed on list less than twenty
minutes.
Im running this server from my home, steam test says udp ports passed udp
port: 27000-27040/ tcp ports passed tcp port:27020-27040. Any addtnl. info
needed will be posted. Help will be appreciated.
