Read the steampowered forums, I think there is a sticky on this. Make sure
you have gzip installed.

ln -s /bin/gunzip /bin/uncompress

Subject: [hlds] Uncompress Error

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

I am returning to Linux after about 3 years of running a Windows Server and
I am having a compressioning issue that has me stumped and I was wondering
if someone who has experienced this can offer up some advice.

chmod u+x hldsupdatetool.bin
./hldsupdatetool.bin

When I execute ./hldsupdatetool.bin I get this message:

sh : uncompress :command not found

I am rusty on my Linux, but I believing I am missing a decompressing
program?

Is the program that I am missing called "Compress"?

Thanks!
