List moderation: Just say no. When someone gets a bit out of control, someone from Valve will usually give them the boot. That is all we need. I've been on this list longer then most of you (um...6 years now? I subscribed originally early 2001, IIRC) and it's the lack of heavy handed, over the top moderation that keeps this list going (and entertaining).

Take Alfred and Mike out of the picture and this list would evaporate. Maybe create some rules in your email client which filter out the posts by certain names. I did it, and it works nicely. If we could get people to just put OT in the subject line at least such filtering would be more effective instead of blanket-filtering based on name.
