I would think they would shorten it to save time but this is just mixed
up.  Not sure what the point is.

It's a source command - some developer got tired of typing quti when he
wanted to quit, so he made quti do the same as quit. In my development
environment, I have a script called "reset" that sets up the environment
the
way I want it. I also have rest, reseet, and rset do the same thing
because
of my fat fingers can't always get "reset" right :-)
