Run hldsupdatetool by itself first (i.e. type hldsupdatetool.exe with no
command line switches). After it downloads the new version of HLDS Update
Tool, run the command again.

Hello I have a problem: When I try to install the standalone server for
counter-strike source it won't install.This is what i am doing:run : cmdAnd
then this is wat I will type in the cmd console..cd F:\hlserver (where
hldsupdatetool is installed)F:then I get F:\HLServer>I type
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "counter-strike source" -dir
F:\cserverThen I hit enter and this is wat I get: Checking bootstrapper
version ...Getting version 25 of Steam HLDS Update ToolDownloading. . . . .
 . . . . . F:\HLServer> Then I check the folder I entered to install the
standalone server to and I see that there is nothing in it..Then I check
windows task manager and I see that there is an HldsUpdateToolTmp.exe
running.If I then retry this whole process I got an error that the file
cannot be accessed because it is already in use by an other process... I
don't know if my cpu has something to do with it or the mobo.Cpu = Amd
Athlon x2 64 3800+ @2.4ghzMoBo= msi k9neo-f V1I got latest drivers etc.I got
Win Xp sp2 Steam installed on my first Hdd (eq D:\)trying to install
standalone server on my 2nd Hdd (eq F:\)  I don't know what I am doing wrong
so if anyone could help me please.Greetz Bas.
