There are updates released for metamod, that you don't have to edit the gameinfo.txt file anymore ... check http://www.sourcemm.net to see how it works ...

Its a small inconvenience to have to save a copy and write over it everytime. I have forgotten on more than one occasion and because I use metamod and sourcemod none of my plugins load and I have to go back and reboot the server.
