Here's a short one, the task of retrieving standard servers: Tab System: * Joe wants to play TF2 and so starts Steam. * Joe launches TF2. * Joe clicks servers and retrieves a list of standard servers.
Filter System: * Joe wants to play TF2 and so starts Steam. * Joe launches TF2. * Joe clicks servers and retrieves a list of every server. * Joe may start scrolling through the list looking for a standard 24 player server. * Joe spots the "Change filters" button and clicks it. * Joe reads through eight UI elements looking for options to filter to standard. * Joe clicks the check box standard servers. * Joe clicks "Quick refresh" and receives his list list of standard servers. And here's the scenario of someone wanting non-standard servers with tabs. * Joe wants to play TF2 and so starts Steam. * Joe launches TF2. * Joe clicks servers and retrieves a list of standard servers. * Joe clicks (custom/all) server tab and retrieves a list of (custom/all) servers ...
