I think they heard all the complaining about being stuck on versus servers on expert. And before the difficulty you chose in the cfg file on your server for coop would mess up your versus difficulty. Valve is still trying to make this matchmaking work as well as possible, so they are going to try different things, until they can find a decent balance. People need to come down a bit. Not threaten to take down their server boxes and see what happens in the next week with the updates. People did the same thing, with crits in TF2. Just relax, Valve is trying as hard as they can.
