yeah that's what happens, the server never drops just hangs on map changes. been a long going battle for a fix, but it will probably be a while before we see one. on your client you can change the timeout cvar (sv_timeout i think) to 60 seconds and you will 99% of the time connect back to the server before the time is up although since no one else ups there timeout value you will probably be in a dead server since most people think that the server just crashed and goto a different one.
