If I had to guess, I'd say there is a chance they might accidentally fix
it while changing something else, but I wouldn't count on it.

The Goldsource servers, especially, are obviously not a priority. The
income from a 10-year old engine can't be more than a trickle. Besides,
they probably need the money to buy hardware and pay for bandwidth and
people to run their multi-player servers. Oh, wait...
