Alec, Seriously? I merely stated in closing that my hope is that the core group/supporters of this list do not go off into the wind to all those other venues (i.e., maintain a mailing list). My whole point was that is was self run, however, I feel with my relatively lower input on solutions for people, that the ones that have had solutions (big dawgs) collectively determine a course of action. That could be a number of things, for instance: 1. Let's all be on Alec's mailing list now, 2. Let's all use the Steam Forums, 3. Let's all use the SM forums, 4. Let's all use SRCDS forums....
Kinda seems like things are splintering...and that is what I and many of you would NOT want to happen. > Date: Tue, 10 Feb 2009 11:20:31 -0500 > From: Alec Sanger <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [hlds] Important notice regarding the HLDS mailing lists > To: <[email protected]> > Message-ID: <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252" > > > You make it sound like there's a lot of back-end work when running a list, > but it's actually pretty much self run.
