We still experience this problem about once a day on our server with no clear solution. 1 Ghost player slot appears and always has a 'connection time' that counts back to 12:00AM PST -- even if the ghost player does not actually appear until 5:00PM. There is no way to 'kick' the ghost player.
I'm not keen on fussing with SourceMod to create a workaround for this if I don't have to.. are there still literally zero solutions available? So far I've heard suggestions that the problem relates to banlists, sv_region, and crashing players on join. There's no way that a player is logging into the server and crashing during the join or map change processes at exactly 12:00AM every night. Odds are even slimmer that it's a banned player doing that every single night.
