Adam, this has been going on for years. I've experienced really nasty instances where the attacks came from spoofed IP addresses. If you are using a Linux Distro you can try filtering the attacks based on packet length, but I imagine since you are a GSP you are stuck with Windows due to TCAdmin. In that case you would have to attempt to filter from a router.
