That looks more like syncing CEF with Chromium to me.

There's not much info on the cross-compatibility, but it looks like the latest 
version of CEF is at Chromium build 115967 (CHROMIUM_BUILD_COMPATIBILITY.txt), 
which is less than 6 weeks old. That's much better than circa September 2010.
