I am aware that a couple months ago several servers were de-listed for 6 weeks for using FakeClients and Bot plugins.
I am curious though if there is every going to be any enforcement of this part of the policy: "ยท Interfering with the mechanisms that advertise modifications to gameplay rules in the server browser. (For example, nocrits, gravity, respawn times, etc.) Experimenting with gameplay modifications is encouraged, but any mechanisms in the engine designed to alert players to those modifications must be allowed to function." -Fletcher Dunn I have joined many servers that are using the fast respawn plugin by Wozer and are getting the advantages of quickplay even though they are not supposed to and they are not advertising the use of fast respawn plugins with either the hostname or sv_tags. This is rampant across TF2 servers 2 of the largest servers are using it although they are at least smart enough to cover it up by renaming the plugin. This should not fool valve though because their respawns are static usually 8 or 9 for Blue Team and 14-16 for red no matter if the server is empty of completely full. Hundreds of other servers are not even masking their use of these plugins and a simple sm plugins list command in the console makes it readily apparent. Alliedmodders has unapproved all the plugins as well and even cites the "policy of truth". 173 servers are using this plugin: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=73929 400 servers are using this one: http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=69997 Of course these are only those who haven't modified the plugin. I personally checked 39 servers and none of them said anything in their hostname or sv_tags about using fast respawns. I have tried to run a 32 player Fast Respawn server using mp_respawnwavetimes and it hardly ever fills with all of the hundreds of policy violators going unpunished. Please either start de-listing violators like you do for other infractions or change the policy so changing mp_respawnwavtimes does not remove you from the quickplay pool. Best Regards, T Pettit
