The same (used to?) happens to STV demo's of CS:S. Now I've quit that game I can not be sure of this but basically what happens is the same. At random intervals a demo gets this bug, 1 out of x demo's. Sometimes it works to go beyond that tick while fastforwarding, or when watching the demo again and start at a tick, just after the exact tick it would normally crash.
Not sure if the exact same error occurs but maybe this works for you. :) 2012/9/26 Lance Waidzunas <[email protected]> > Got an issue with autorecorded STV demos off a TF2 Linux match server. > > Demos play fine until mp_tournament is enabled, and then demos crash with > the following error: > > Netchannel: failed reading message svc_CmdKeyValues from unknown > > 166,000 tick demo, tournament mode kicks in past tick 100,000 and then > crashes to main menu. > > Link to the demo if you guys want to check it out: > https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15438980/auto-20120924-1519-cp_foundry.dem > > Worked fine last week, same configs and what not... not sure if this is an > engine issue with updates or an issue with our server, just curious if > anyone has seen this, knows how to fix it, or if it's a Valve issue. > > _______________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, > please visit: > https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlds > > -- Regards, Robert Jager Den Helder, Noord-Holland The Netherlands
