Did you install the metamod VDF file? http://www.sourcemm.net/vdf I'm unsure how far you've gotten into installation, but it's my first wild guess since it's something I've forgotten before.

Remember that using wine doesn't mean 100% compatibility so there may be things that don't work. Since you are using wine make sure you are using windows version of source mod and metamod dev builds.
