On this I'm going to have to disagree. Clients are more than welcome to disconnect from servers that do things they don't like, and even blacklist them. Server owners should still maintain control over how their servers operate, even if what they do is unpopular.

The Server List should have a mandatory display of servers running specific services so users can predetermine wether they want to support such services w/o joining a server to be crashed or find out if the server is operated correctly.

Client users should be able to disable everything that is pushed from a server to a client. It just makes good sense to allow people to protect themselves from abuse and shotty server moderation.
