HL:DM and CS 1.6 both use SteamCMD now:

If you use the GUI variant, it'll tell you that it's out of date, and

...and neither shows up in the Steam server browser...
Seems very few HL1/Goldsrc mod servers show up in the Steam browser,
so I suspect this maybe related...
