I can't speak for others, but for us, it works best if the server and
client are released simultaneously. This is because an automated system
sees your announcement and tries to roll out any applicable update. If
you release the dedicated server early, then servers will be updated
early, and clients will be unable to use them -- which is happening to
us today.
