I assume by "get around VAC" you mean that VAC doesn't detect the cheats
they are using? VAC is delayed (if cheat is detected by it), SMAC is
instant (if cheating is detected).

also it's worth noting that many hackers easily get around VAC. this
is why SMAC exists with ban support
