...also, "hlauth.net" doesn't exist yet as a domain (at least according to 4 different DNS servers that I checked). If you are trying to ping the half-life.east.won.net or half-life.west.won.net servers for the new Steam protocol, you may be trying to speak "apples" to a server that only speaks "oranges".
