I don't want to turn this mailing list into flame thread against Valve
but
I have to agree with Brian. I remember writing to Erik and moaning about
the last official patch when we got nothing for TFC in it yet we was
told we would get loads of new stuff, he said something along the lines
of 'the next patch will be a big TFC patch as this one was rushed to fix
some bugs'. Big TFC patch means 1 map, teleporters and sentry guns that
smoke along with a nice set of new bugs?
I think we missed the small print. 'Big TFC patch with HUGE CS update'
since that is practically what this patch is so far. I understand there
is little you can do that doesn't upset the 13373 players that flame the
second a balance change happens because of something new has been added,
but what is wrong with a load of new maps or even, new styles of maps?
:(
I think the best we got out of this patch is having less bugs than CS
got from the looks of things so far. :P
And to add to the fun, TFC doesn't even get a forum on Steam either so
any TFC bugs just get drowned with "STEAM SUX0RS!1!1!" threads.
