Subject: RE: History
Actually, in the hltv program (both Linux and Windows), I rewrote the input
stuff to behave more like a unix shell. There is a command history (up and
down arrows), tab completion of commands (but not command arguments), left
and right arrows work to edit the command you are entering, the command text
you are entering should keep popping back up when hltv spouts data to the
console while you are typing, etc.
This is basically a testbed for some stuff I want to eventually get into the
hlds/hlds_run program as well. So, if you want to take a look at it, fire
up hltv and let me know what you think, what problems you might have,
compatibility with terminal or shell programs, ideas, etc.
By the way, the Windows HLDS server does have command history and tab
completion (as does the HL client console), but it's not the greatest as far
as the implementation goes, compared to the more unix-like HLTV.
