I am trying to run another CS server on NetBSD--worked great with 3.1.0.6 but with 4.1.0.8, I get this problem (on the same machine):
~/hlds_l ./hlds_run +ip 155.155.155.155 Host_Init Added packfile /home/cstrike/hlds_l/valve/pak0.pak (985 files) Protocol version 45 Exe version 4.1.0.8 Exe build: 15:09:28 Sep 17 2001 (1789) WON Auth Server couldn't exec language.cfg WARNING: UDP_OpenSocket: port 27015 setsockopt IP_MULTICAST_LOOP: Invalid argume nt Server IP address 155.155.155.155:27015 I can connect with great pings from close by, but when people from farther away try to connect--they get pings over usually over 1000ms. even if no-one else is on. this server is sitting on a partial OC3, great pings all around, I've looked around a bit for info on IP_MULTICAST_LOOP with NetBSD, but haven't found anything useful yet.... Any suggestions would be handy! Thanks!
