This may work the same for FreeBSD as it does in Linux Red Hat. Edit your
/etc/hosts  file and make it look like this. ( say your IP is 4.60.53.102 )

( hosts file )

4.60.53.102 hostname.domain.com hostname   ( the hostname would be the name
127.0.0.1 localhost                                              you gave your
computer )


mine looks like this:

192.168.1.101  hlserver.verizon.net hlserver   ( im setting behind a router
with Nat )
127.0.0.1 localhost

Linux installs get the locahost and the Ip reversed alot and this will give you
headaches. Hope this helps.
