hello everybody!

i just installed RedHat 7.1 (Seawolf).

i installed (hlds_l_3104.bin) right after i "$ chmod 775 hlds_l_3104.bin" at
"/usr/local/games/half-life/hlds_l"

then installed (cs_14_full.tar.gz) by performing "$ gzip -d
cs_14_full.tag.gz" and "$ tar -xvf cs_14_full.tar" at
"/usr/local/games/half-life/hlds_l"

then "startx" then "new terminal" then change dir to
"/usr/local/games/half-life/hlds_l" then "$ ./hlds_run +sv_lan 1 +maxplayers
8 -game CSTRIKE -nomaster +ip 192.168.0.24 +port 27015 +map de_dust"

then "new terminal" then "netstat -an|grep tcp". i should see that there's
something "listening" to 27015, right?

my question is, how come i cant see that "192.168.0.24" is not listening on
any port or nothing "listens" on port 27015?

second, how can i execute a batch file just after the boot time of linux? i
understand that "cron" performs tasks repeatedly as scheduled. but of
course, what i desire is just after the linux started. i.e. the "hlds_run"
right after the boot time.

in addition, how come also that i dont have "ping", "telnet" command? i have
already performed "$ ls -lR / | grep ping" and found nothing.

another, this should be easy for you guys. can linux "mount" to an FTP url?
i just want setup my laptop as an FTP server and then "mount" in on my linux
workstation so i dont need to download the file to my linux machine and just
install from the "mounted" directory.

thats all.

thanks.
