I don't know if this is of any use to anyone, but I thought I'd post it cuz its a great help to me. I just wrote a perl script that queries your game server to see if there are any people on it, if there are, it quits. If it is empty, it runs your stats program. Now you can set this script up to run every minute if you'd like and not worry about lag. And have up to date stats!
