Dear All; I just wanted to say that I've started and it's going well. There wouldn't happened to be a Freebsd/hlds install faq/guide would there? I've never used screen before how doesn't that work with Freebsd and hlds if I don't want to run x windows. Also, I notice that when I do a nohup command, it sets the nice value for 5 which isn't good. It should be 0; anyway to change that so it does make it a 0. Is there even nohup in Freebsd?
Sincerely Brian PS DAMM, my smoke alarm keeps intermittenly squeaking it's totally weirding/freaking, me out; as well as scaring me to deatth. I don't want to loss everything in a fire that would totally suck. A couple of really heavy duty thunder storms just went through here I wonder if they ionized the air. Oh well wish me luck on all fronts I may just call the fire department and have them check the building out; damm. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Brian Vagnoni XO Sent: Friday, August 02, 2002 12:22 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [hlds_linux] Into The Viod We Go Dear All; Any suggestions to a FreeBSD beginner who is attempting to try and migrate his linux hlds server to FreeBSD. I'm downloading 4.6 now. Should I wait for 5.0? How close is it to linux? What partitions do I nned to create, I knwo it's different for Free BSD than it is for Liinux. Everything is in one volume right, that expands as necessary? I'm scared. I know that sounds wimmpy but I hate not having the answers when problems develop. It always easier to go back to either windows and or linux and familar ground. I tried in once before and lost interest. SO any suggestions?
