cheap?! at $99 per adapter you would be better of to get the scsi drive. and lets say you had 4 drives in the machine making the total around $400 (in just adapters). for that you may as well get one of these: Escalade 7500-4 URL: http://www.3ware.com/products/pdf/Escalade7500DS6-7.qk.pdf Personally i am a big fan of scsi for the reliability aspect. But this controller does all the things a bad boy scsi raid card does and a benchamark i saw says its faster. read up on it if tech is your thing. it's a really interesting product. i wish i had one to test out. they make a 12 drive controller too. uber fast i would imagine. it doesn't have any of the limitations common in ide... except the reliability part (no flames, it's my experience and nothing you can say will change my mind). -- - m0gely http://quake2.telestream.com/ Q2 | Q3A | Counter-strike _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
