I need to capture the logs from several HL servers. I know about HLDS Feed
but that is win32 only.
How can I capture the logs to a linux machine using logaddress ?
I didn't have any luck with pstreamer. My log files were majorly screwed
with them and caused my stats all kinds of grief. Assuming you are trying
to do this for stats, the easiest thing to do is to write a shell script
that uses ncftpget and retrieves the log from the remote server at a set
interval. After that you have them on the local machine for parsing or
whatever. That's the method I've been using for 6 months or so and it's
worked great for me.
