hlds currently runs on Linux x86 which is little endian. So when it reads and writes data structures from the files, like maps and skins and stuff, the bytes are ordered in a certain way. Sparc is big endian, which means the byte order is the opposite of x86. So on Sparc systems after something is read from the file the bytes would have to be reordered in software. I would be surprised if hlds was written with this in mind seeing as how they currently only support one endianness. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
