I've been running a 8 players server on my home server running Gentoo 2nd
stage optimized, with poor hardware as 200MHz and 64mb RAM.
Guess what? it worked smoothly as hell. :-)
And about Gentoo, I think Gentoo is probably the best for servers since
Portage is making the life easy while not giving up security and ordance,
and also optimization is great. Really helps.
