Didnt think i would reply but, umm..
Windows gets viruses, yes Linux gets exploits (blah blah blah), yes
Yepp, same thing, but you are more likely to get a patch out before someone actually uses it against you on Linux. And on a Gentoo box keeping your system patched and updated is a really trivial task next to compleatly automated.
