interesting, the Athlon 2500+ is a barton core processor running not significantly
faster (mhz) than a 2200+ but bringing other advantages such as 512kb of L2
vs 256 and 333mhz FSB vs 266.
I'm running a 2800+ barton core as my NS server and have seen some surprisingly
good cpu utilisation from a known cpu pig

wonder if there's something more to it
or just that the barton athlon is the potential hlds cpu of choice.
