Redhat 7.2 Linux lucifer 2.4.9-e.27 #2 SMP at 100hz top -v procps version 2.0.7
What version of top are you using? If these stats were believable, I would be thanking the God's for usage this low. We tried this kernel at 500hz, 700hz and 1000hz. Top read obviously incorrectly outputting cpu with no one on server at 99% but low load and cpu stats were showing only 30%. Results of 18/20 on dust2 on the kernel above according to top and stats. pingboost -1 and sys_ticrate at 1000. stats CPU In Out Uptime Users FPS Players 11.00 48.50 57.27 21 27 49.82 18 1188 wicked 15 0 66040 64M 5304 R 0.9 3.2 0:11 hlds_i686 load average: 0.08, 0.23, 0.17 CPU0 states: 0.1% user, 0.0% system, 0.0% nice, 99.0% idle CPU1 states: 0.0% user, 1.0% system, 0.0% nice, 98.0% idle CPU2 states: 0.0% user, 0.0% system, 0.0% nice, 100.0% idle CPU3 states: 0.0% user, 0.0% system, 0.0% nice, 100.0% idle That would be so awesome, but I can't believe its true. I am currently waiting for the other servers to fill back up after all these reboots, to see what it looks like under the same load as reported earlier. But let me know your top verison, so I can make sure I use the same one for testing purposes. dan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sindre" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, September 15, 2003 8:54 PM Subject: RE: [hlds_linux] HOW TO GET SUPER LOW CPU USE!!
